"Fresco" (from the Italian word) means "fresh", "dump". It is a painting with tempera on dump plaster. It should be made
just in a few hours, while the plaster is wet and imbibes color. The method of painting on a dry plaster also exists: it
is called "a cekko". The canvas consolidated on a wall or a hardboard is often used in modern monumental painting. It
allows to paint by oil or acril.
